Class Details:
Brioche knitting is incredibly popular in the knitting world right now, and rightfully so! Brioche stitch brings a unique cellular texture to knitted items and is perfect for cozy accessories and simple sweaters. Learn how to work this intriguing “ribbed” stitch during our hands-on workshop. We'll start off working single-color brioche and then upgrade to the iconic two color brioche. Pattern ideas to practice your new skills are provided at the end of the class.
Technique Requirements: Students must know how to cast on, knit, and purl.
Supplies for Class:
2 contrasting colors of worsted-weight yarn and size US 7 (4.5 mm) or 8 (5 mm) knitting needles—one 24" (60 cm) circular needle. Note: circular needles are necessary for knitting two-color brioche.
