Building a community through fiber arts
The YarnStormers started as a group of fiber artists based in Cranford, New Jersey. We create colorful, public art installations with yarn to spread joy in our community.
We continue to "storm" the community with colorful yarn art, and in 2023, YarnStormers founder Teresa Murray opened the YarnStormers Yarn Shop, offering yarn, notions, classes and workshops.

Crochet Waffle Bag

Crochet this adorable Waffle Bag with the designer Grace McLear from Cat Willow Creations
This is a great class for those who completed beginner crochet or have some skills but want to learn something new and make a project.
Homework will be required in order to complete the project by the end of the session
Yarn for class must be purchased at YarnStormers.

Cable Beanie - Fall Session
Thursdays 7-8:30pm
September 12 - 26 (3 weeks)
This is a great class for students who completed beginner knitting. You’ll learn to join in the round, knit cables and complete a hat!
Homework will be required in order to complete the hat by the end of the session

Spin Workshop
Saturday September 28
9am - 12pm
Learn how to to spin fiber into yarn in this fun and engaging workshop.
Fiber and the use of a drop spindle is included in the price so you can start spinning and take home your own hand spun yarn.
Drop spindles and additional fiber will be available for (optional) purchase should you become addicted to your new skills!
This workshop will be taught by renowned fiber artist, textile designer and educator Ellen Hess

Beginner Crochet - Fall Session
Mondays 7-8:30pm
September 16 - October 21
Learn the basics of crochet and start your own project in this 6 week course.
To get the most out of the class, practice between classes is highly recommended.
Yarn for class must be purchased at YarnStormers.
Minimum 4 students. Maximum 8.
Beginner Knitting - Fall Session
Thursdays 7-8:30pm
October 10 - November 21
Learn the basics of knitting and start your own project in this 6 week course.
To get the most out of the class, practice between classes is highly recommended.
