Learn how to add colorwork and detail to your knitting by using this technique that involves embroidering over existing stitches to create a matching stitch in a contrasting color. We'll stitch a heart shape and discuss how you can design your own chart.
Class preparation: Bring a swatch or knitted piece in stockinette, you'll need an area of stockinette a minimum of 15 stitches by 15 rows for the design. Worsted weight is recommended with a contrasting color yarn of the same weight.
Supplies: swatch, contrast yarn (small amount), darning needle (plastic is preferred), pencil
